www.europe-seaside.com - Benidorm

This resort, located in close vicinity to Alicante and Altea, has become the nightlife hub for the Costa Brava, with a long list of clubbing and drinking spots. Despite its high-rise skyline and commercialised atmosphere, with its famous theme parks and attractions for children, it offers ample opportunities for day-hiking and sunbathing. Enclosed by a high, mountainous massif, Benidorm preserves its mild Mediterranean climate even during the coldest winter months, attracting more and more sunbathing fans every season. The town boasts an olden part, the casco antiquo, which radiates into three major historical streets, lined with merchandise and tourist paraphernalia. Benidormís two beaches, Playa de Poniente and Playa de Levante, total some five kilometers. The sandy area has some excessively busy sections, where one can barely carve their way through the crowds, as well as more secluded parts, mostly found at peaceful Playa de Levante.
